If ordered components are not delivered on time or not in the agreed quality, high follow-up costs quickly arise and production processes are delayed. Reliable quality assurance in procurement is therefore essential. Digital procurement specialist FACTUREE has once again had its quality management system certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001, underlining its role as a reliable partner for the procurement of drawing parts.
FACTUREE pools the expertise of over 2,000 audited manufacturing partners and handles the entire process from the initial inquiry to production, post-processing and delivery. As a result, liability issues, audit burdens and administrative work are bundled centrally and customers are relieved. The digital mapping of all process steps, AI-supported methods and predictive approaches also ensure cost benefits and shorter time-to-market.
Industry-specific evidence and compliance
"The ISO recertification confirms that we are continuously adapting internal processes, testing mechanisms and traceability to the requirements of modern quality management. Quality standards are therefore measurably anchored in our company and are regularly reviewed," says Jordi Viñas, Head of Quality at FACTUREE.
Beyond the DIN EN ISO 9001 standard the company offers its customers industry-specific certificateswhich the manufacturing partners can provide if required: for example, IATF 16949 for automotive, ISO 13485 for medical technology or AS/EN 9100 for aerospace. In addition, compliance standards such as RoHS and REACH as well as initial sample test reports (EMPB) and PPAP approvals ensure conformity with order specifications. Material certificates in accordance with EN 10204 verify the origin and properties of the material used.
FACTUREE is also AEO-certifiedThe company works with data centers in Europe in accordance with ISO 27001 and is driving forward its own ISO 27001 certification. The digital procurement specialist also relies on environmental management in accordance with ISO 14001 in order to systematically reduce resource consumption.
Structured onboarding of manufacturing partners
Structured onboarding of new production partners is essential for meeting quality standards. FACTUREE checks capacities, certificates and processes, awards test orders and accompanies new partners through a patent system until they have proven their performance in practical operation. "We see our manufacturers as strategic partners and not just suppliers. By working closely together, we ensure that we jointly meet the high quality requirements of our customers," says Jordi Viñas.
AI-supported quality assurance
For operational quality assurance, FACTUREE combines traditional QM tools with data-driven processes. A three-stage AI system analyzes design data, identifies the most suitable manufacturer from the large partner network and monitors production capability and deviations even before series release.
Documentation, intermediate inspections and measurement reports ensure transparency during production. Each component undergoes a double final inspection - at the manufacturer and at FACTUREE or independent test centers. Key performance indicators, delivery reliability and customer feedback are systematically evaluated. "We invest in traceability. Test protocols, supplier evaluations and measurable KPIs form the basis for us to prove quality," emphasizes Viñas.
Personal support and expansion of audit expertise
FACTUREE also focuses on personal support. Each customer is assigned a dedicated contact person who accompanies the entire process. For example, regular customer satisfaction surveys are incorporated into the continuous improvement process. FACTUREE is also continuously expanding the audit expertise of its employees. "For example, I am aiming to qualify as a VDA 6.3 auditor myself so that I can audit suppliers even more specifically in future and thus increase acceptance in automotive projects," explains Viñas.
Study shows: Quality is essential for supplier selection
A recent FACTUREE study conducted in collaboration with the market research company Caspar-Feld shows that quality is a decisive success factor in procurement today. 46 % of respondents cited quality as the main reason why they would switch to a new supplier. This puts this aspect in second place among the reasons for switching - directly behind a better price (49 %).
"Jordi Viñas explains: "The survey makes it clear that only those suppliers who deliver demonstrably high quality and create trust through reliable data protection and security measures will establish themselves as preferred partners in the long term. FACTUREE meets precisely these requirements."
