FACTUREE shows at EMO: How AI is transforming procurement

FACTUREE at EMO: The AI transformation of procurement

The procurement of drawing-based production parts is a difficult undertaking for purchasers when it comes to selecting suitable suppliers: quality, costs and reliability must be in the right balance. Manual selection processes are often resource-intensive and error-prone. Incorrect decisions can in turn cause high follow-up costs and delays in production. The volatility of global markets further exacerbates the problem. FACTUREE will be exhibiting at EMO from September 22 to 26 at stand F18 in hall 6, how its procurement model solves these challenges.

"Many companies already have an enormous amount of internal data: Quality reports, supplier evaluations, technical specifications and project histories. However, this data is often unstructured and unused," says Christopher Walzel, Co-Founder at FACTUREE. "With AI, patterns can be recognized and precise insights can be derived from supposedly unrelated data. Supplier profiles can be created and evaluated by analyzing historical data on successful projects, production quality and adherence to delivery dates."

Risk minimization through AI

One particularly promising approach is the automated analysis of CAD drawings for early risk detection. AI-based systems are able to identify not only obvious but also the smallest details and potential sources of error at an early stage. This allows risks to be identified as early as the quotation phase and suitable measures to be taken - long before problems occur in production. AI automatically checks the technical feasibility, material requirements, tolerances and historical performance data of potential suppliers.

Intelligent supplier matching

The strength of AI lies in the precise analysis of large amounts of data. It is therefore able to identify not only suitable suppliers for specific requirements, but also the best possible match. Systems that use continuously maintained databases with hundreds of thousands of data points per supplier enable intelligent matching. This process not only guarantees a significantly reduced error rate, but also considerable savings in terms of time and effort. In addition, the best price for the respective requirement can be identified.

FACTUREE shows how it works: The digital procurement specialist uses AI-supported matching algorithms and evaluates more than 600,000 data points per supplier as well as CAD, quality and performance data. The system generates a reliable price indication for the respective customer as early as the quotation process, without passing on sensitive customer data; only after the final decision has been made are the necessary details transmitted anonymously to the selected partner. At the same time, the AI checks technical feasibility, material requirements and tolerances and identifies potential risks at an early stage.

Buyers benefit from this in many ways: they receive reliable prices as early as the bidding process, which shortens bid and award cycles and significantly reduces otherwise often very high coordination costs. The objective, quality-based pre-selection minimizes wrong decisions and rework. In addition, dependencies on individual suppliers are reduced and the resilience of the supply chain increases, as FACTUREE takes over the entire sourcing process and, with AI support and internal experts, always looks for the ideal solution in terms of price, delivery time and quality for the respective inquiry. Centralized, digital processing by FACTUREE accelerates the customer's time-to-market.

"With the targeted use of AI in the procurement of drawing parts, we are addressing the challenges of complex markets. Assumptions are replaced by facts: Which partners meet the tolerances, who delivered similar parts on time - and at what price? Procurement is simply much more reliable and efficient," says Christopher Walzel.

FACTUREE presents its procurement model and AI approach at the EMO both at Stand F18/Hall 6 and in a presentation. Moritz König, CEO at FACTUREE, will be speaking on 23.09.2025 at 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at stand A60 in hall 12 about "Guaranteed 20% cost savings & supply chain resilience for your drawing parts".
